Trey Flowers Childhood & Early Life

Trey was born in Huntsville, Alabama, along with his two brothers to his father, Robert Flowers, and mother, Jacqueline Flowers. He attended Columbia High School in his birthplace and then pursued his studies with an economics degree from Arkansas University.

Trey Flowers was a promising prospect as a basketball player and an American football star in middle school (Columbia High School). Throughout his college years (Arkansas University), he played on the football team and began in thirteen games during his 1st year on three occasions.

He was honored with the Second Team All-SEC during his junior year. Judging from a few excellent displays as a rookie, he was an all-time starter in his college 2ndand 3rd year. After a reversed decision to join the NFL draft in 2014, he finished his senior year as the leading man in defense passes, sacks, tackles, and forced fumbles. So, he made the All-SEC Honorable Mention.

New England Patriots (2015-2019)

In 2015, after overturning the decision in 2014, he decided to reinsert the NFL draft again, returning to college for his degree. The New England Patriots had selected him in the 4th round. He played his 1st game during the preseason against the Green Bay Packers and was untimely substituted due to injury.

Although among the squad for the season, he was available for only one game that year as he was placed out of action due to an injury he sustained in December 2015. Sadly, due to the injury, his debut season was a tragedy.

However, he’d had his season break out in 2016. His first double NFL sacks came up against the Buffalo Bills, where he recorded five tackles as well. When the season progressed, Flowers began to gain attention as he became a regular feature and started the season’s last eight fixtures.

After recording seven sacks, which were the highest sacks recorded in the team that season, his results couldn’t have gone unnoticeable. He’s posted 2.5 sacks against the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl LI. The New England Patriots have secured a 25-point comeback win in the Super Bowl LI.

He recorded two sacks against the Kansas City Chiefs in the opening fixture of the 2017 season. He led the team with a record of 6.5 bags in 14 starts that season, and assisted the Patriots in the Super Bowl LII, where he registered five tackles.

In the 2018 season, Trey Flowers recorded 7.5 sacks, 57 tackles, and three forced fumbles. He was taken out of the game after a concussion against Jacksonville Jaguars at the start of the season. His results were also adequate to assist the Patriots in the Super Bowl LIII.
